Just in case...
Just in case...
Vodka and cigarettes. And maybe some cans of soup or something. Beef Jerky -- that'll last. Some weed would be nice, but I can't afford to stock up on that.
Extra water so you can stay put a bit. non-perishable food Hygiene items. First aid basics batteries and tactical fashlight Semi-automatic rifle and 300rds at least Cash
With other stuff you need some training too.
Also you need a good plunger. No dollar store here.
Iodine, just in case of radiation and whatnot. If the boogaloo hits and the nuclear reactors stop being properly maintained (even the decommissioned ones), iodine can save your life.
Bulk quantities of foods that store well, such as rice, beans, oats, dried fruits/meats, etc. It will be great in the short term when shit hits the fan.
Blankets/towels
For other survival thinking, some basics:
Get some seeds, learn basic gardening for your area
Get a good bushcraft knife and learn how to make a fire.
Have some method to filter or distill water
Iodine sounds like a good one and would be nearly impossible to get a hold of if a real disaster hit. But be sure to look into what you're buying. The usual dietary supplements don't contain nearly enough to be meaningful. One bottle of those will last about one day.
Yeah for sure. I keep a concentrated nascent iodine around that would work well for radiation and probably wound treatment. It doesn't take up much space and is far more portable than bulk tablets
Goods that can be bartered for prepper gold. Weed, tobacco, coffee, solar phone chargers, child sex slaves, stuff like that. Addicts don't think rationally when they're on withdrawal. They're going to pay well.
A cheap electricity supply solution:
Get an inverter and some deep-cycle lead-acid batteries.
