A gun with one bullet so I can shoot myself once videogames are no longer possible

Interestingly creative. I was thinking drums of water and thousand of ramen packs with supplements since ramen is only partially food.

Goods that can be bartered for prepper gold. Weed, tobacco, coffee, solar phone chargers, child sex slaves, stuff like that. Addicts don't think rationally when they're on withdrawal. They're going to pay well.

These are some good suggestions.

Also a good time to remind everyone that Epstein didn't kill himself.

Tons of flour and drinkable water will go a long long way. Flour was illegal to hoard in Canada during one of the world wars.

All bathroom supplies. Seriously, too many people overlook this. People will kill for toilet paper after it runs out and after about 6 months without brushing, a lot of people will have teeth starting to rot.

Vices. Cigarettes, alcohol, coffee, chocolate. Even if you don't use them, you can trade them or buy passage, protection, or temporary help/loyalty.

Water for the toilet if the mains go down.

Wash yer ass with water and stop imagining toilet paper is golden.

  • Iodine, just in case of radiation and whatnot. If the boogaloo hits and the nuclear reactors stop being properly maintained (even the decommissioned ones), iodine can save your life.

  • Bulk quantities of foods that store well, such as rice, beans, oats, dried fruits/meats, etc. It will be great in the short term when shit hits the fan.

  • Blankets/towels

For other survival thinking, some basics:

  • Get some seeds, learn basic gardening for your area

  • Get a good bushcraft knife and learn how to make a fire.

  • Have some method to filter or distill water

Iodine sounds like a good one and would be nearly impossible to get a hold of if a real disaster hit. But be sure to look into what you're buying. The usual dietary supplements don't contain nearly enough to be meaningful. One bottle of those will last about one day.

Yeah for sure. I keep a concentrated nascent iodine around that would work well for radiation and probably wound treatment. It doesn't take up much space and is far more portable than bulk tablets
