To clarify, I'm asking about memories of pets that have died.
EDIT: I is good at grammars.

Given these two accounts, an important note was that both of these animals grew up together. They were best friends. The dog didn't like other cats, the cat didn't like other dogs. They slept together on the same bed. They groomed each other. They ate from the same bowl. Best of friends.
I also had a cat. He was the kitten of another cat we had. From his litter, we kept 3 cats (brothers) and he was the runt. When the next litter came along, he continued to nurse on his mother.
His one brother ran off and never came back, and the other died after he was stepped on--he had a bad habit of laying on the steps in the dark. His mother was given away or taken to the humane society because too many kittens, and all the other kittens were given away. Only he remained.
He was the runt and he was not a good fighter. He regularly got his ass beat. He had a bad hip, his jowls were huge and hard, and his meow was more of an annoying monotone croak. He on one occasion had a wound that didn't heal up on his side and flies laid their eggs in it, yeilding maggots. We had to flush out the wound really good, pick out all the maggots, and cover it--he survived, as he always did somehow.
This cat refused to use a litter box. He loved to piss in the house, and piss on all the neighbors property. He only wanted milk, never drank water, so this meant he always had diarrhea. Sometimes he would shit in the house as well.
But I was his favorite. If I was sitting in the chair, he was on my lap. If I was laying on the couch, he was laying on top of me. Our means of affection was head bumps, which I've never seen another cat enjoy.
ANYWAY, my favorite memory of him was that he had this spot on his back right next to his tail. Almost all cats have this spot, of course, but his reaction was special. If you rubbed it rapidly he would kind of moan, which was weird with his special voice, and lick the air. If you kept going, eventually he would kind of lose his mind for a second, reach around and start doing it himself and he would end up "peeing". I don't really think it was urine, but... yeah. Cat orgasm, probably.
