I'm one of those rare gems who don't fit in anywhere.

Then again, ain't we all?

I'm too liberal for the conservatives, too conservative for the liberals, too extreme for the moderates, too moderate for the extremists. The term "radical centrist" is a tad too radical for my tastes. I can't truly pick a side except my own, but I make a decent "devil's advocate" according to my high school Oral Comm teacher. And I probably have a bit of a messiah complex.

Not of organized religion, nor am I an atheist. Both seem pretentious to me. Rather, I see energy and matter as a fluid force, beyond our silly human concepts of science and religion. Nothing inherently wrong with scientific inquiry or religious observance, I simply refuse to believe the word of any animal can fully be trusted. And we humans are just another animal. We may think ourselves the superior species, but some cats and dogs may feel the same way.

Enough about me though.

My question(s):

Where does Phuks fit in between Rabble and Voat? I like the general format of Reddit-type sites, but the community itself never really appealed to me. Or rather, I never appealed to them, being myself and all. More importantly, how is the censorship/moderation on this site? I know I could just lurk around instead of asking all this, but making an account is easy enough, and this is a much better litmus taste for my purposes. Oops, I mean test. Test, not taste. Heh.

Most importantly of all:

Is this the right place to post this?

EDIT: I think it only polite to explain exactly why something is downvoted. Can't change bad behavior if you don't know what to change, y'know? I'm guessing it's the turnips.

I think you'll enjoy it here, most of us used those sites and, speaking for myself, this is a much more laid back community who don't get off on drama like those other sites.

As far as moderation/censorship goes there is a TOS we abide by so the hosting company doesn't fuck the site over (don't burn the spot essentially). However mods can decide what they want for their subs as you can see with /s/SoapDoxBanHammer

As far as censorship goes the general consensus is don't be an autist, most people can make a point with being that guy at the bus station shouting at people while directing invisible traffic with his penis.

Anyway, poke around, judge for yourself.

If you see people directing invisible traffic with odd body parts then your parties are waaay better then mine.

We should hang out.

Damn, and I just so happen to be an autist! Probably. I honestly thought of crossposting things on Voat and Rabble, just because, but Voat isn't accepting new members. And Rabble alone doesn't seem worth it.

Phuks mostly keeps away from politics, except for jokingly taking the piss out of crazy people, me shitposting in /s/Anarcho_Capitalism, and some remotely rare outbreaks of political conversations.

Probably the most 'censorship' (as far as I've observed) is s/news, and that's really just tagging some sketchy posts as misleading or something. Also, blatant spam or advertising gets downvoted. The TOS says we can't be racist or anything, but they haven't cracked down on people shouting the N word over in SDBH.

Don't be surprised if people give you shit for the Messiah complex. And that doesn't just go for Phuks, that's real life as well. Cut the crap and get real if you want people to take you seriously. It's genuinely something to be deeply ashamed of.

As far as fitting in here, that depends on how you answer this question. Broccoli or Cabbage?

[–] ThisIsTest [OP] 3 points (+4|-1)

....Mustard? Maybe turnip? They're all Brassica, I do believe.

And it's not a "real" messiah complex. There's no saving anyone. No one should be taken seriously. No one. Neither me nor you.

Broccoli or Cabbage?

reeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

We have common sense here, mostly. You fit in just fine.

Welcome to phuks.

Right place. Normally this sort of post takes place in /s/introductions but this is perfectly fine.

Most people fit in, unless they try to control others then they get rejected pretty quick. Politics are not talked about much, most people here are center-right but everybody's an individual and opinions vary wildly. If you want politics, there's plenty of other better places for that. Browse by /all/ and /all/new (links in top left of page) since there's not a ton of traffic here. Don't be a dick, use common sense.

I'd wager that most of us are more interested in what interests you than your affiliations. Your sexuality or political lean doesn't hold much influence here. If that's all there is to you then you're probably just not that interesting after all.

Welcome to Phuks!

Ah, I must not have seen the introductions sub. My bad. I scrolled down, got to letter I, and got tired of scrolling. Nope, my sex and politics mean no more to me than my eating habits. Which are arguably quite important.... Regardless, I'm more of a wise-ass knowledge seeker than anything. The wisest person knows they don't know nothin.

"Politics are not talked about much"

sees "Politics" at top next between AMA and Programming

[–] pembo210 0 points (+0|-0)

Politics is there as a general topic default subs. There's like 15 defaults that you get auto subscribed to when you sign up. You can go to phuks.co/subs and subscribe to or block subs. The all/new/ link is everything minus your blocked subs. The pencil icon at the top takes you to a page to change the order of the topbar sub list, like a favorites list.

[–] ThisIsTest [OP] 0 points (+0|-0)

"Politics are not talked about much"

has the Politics sub as a default

Haha, I think all points are gotten though. I'll have to do some digging around then. I really don't mind discussing politics, it's just a thing, like any other. But I agree with what others have said, folks get way too heated over some silly drama. All that "political is personal" shit.

A boob's greatness is judged by he/she who holds it, and is not an isolated entity separate from its owner, for it is worthless as such.

I could ponder the subtle connection between this and the subject of your post... but I won't.

For whatever it's worth, as far as I can tell you fit in well enough.

Edit: I'm lacking sleep today = nonsense.

[–] [Deleted] 1 points (+1|-0)

Probably a good choice honestly. also you are a sweet person

[–] starjello 1 points (+2|-1) Edited

This would be the correct place to ask. I'm a Voat user, but I have never been on Rabble so I can't make a judgement between them (though I gave Rabble a quick search and it looks like a standard leftist place). From my short time here I can only gather so much, but I would have to say Phuks is in the middle and leans toward Voat. I say this just because Phuks has a commitment to free speech. This just makes it possible for more right-leaning opinions to exist.

Edit: Welcome!

[–] ThisIsTest [OP] 2 points (+3|-1)

That's approximately what I'm looking for then. See, leftists want me to be a "proper" lesbian, not a bi bitch with a straight husband. Rightists just tell me to get back in the kitchen, which I don't necessarily mind.

[–] KillBill 2 points (+2|-0)

We need more sandwich makers here. Most of the user here are faggots and they break down and cry if you don't look at them when you take the plate.

[–] ThisIsTest [OP] 2 points (+2|-0)

Sandwiches ain't quite my specialty, but they're certainly on my plate. I'm more of a one-pot-meal person though. Soup, roast, pasta, etc.

[–] OeeThaGreat 1 points (+1|-0)

Did you bring beer?

[–] ThisIsTest [OP] 1 points (+1|-0)

Nah, perhaps other things though. Alcohol makes me angry and pervy. Besides, from what I gather, you brew your own?

[–] OeeThaGreat 1 points (+1|-0)

Yeah. Mostly I just boil junk and add yeast. I'm kind of the lazy homebrewer.

[–] ThisIsTest [OP] 1 points (+1|-0)

Better than I could do! Back when I was a dumb teenager, I'd brew this weird....stuff....from Motts For Tots pear juice. It wasn't pretty, tasty, or healthy, but it gave me a head change. Now I stick with way too mch coffee.
