The party was superb! Some of my friends and past co-workers and friends of my husband came and celebrated with us. We announced our coming addition last night. It was probably the last opportunity to wear my favorite slinky little black silk dress for the near future ;-) (hence, my few years off)

I love learning. I found in middle school that I had some ability with mathematics and physical science and a great interest in both fields outside of school work. Did you every play with electricity when you were little? I did. I love everything about it, but I became more interested in very high energy/plasma physics after touring a plasma lab. Just being there made me all warm inside, and not from induction LOLS Now I'm there 3-4 times a month and loving every second.

You should go back. What you learned isn't going to become outdated and will be valid virtually forever. Even if you take a course per year it keeps your mind supple and ready for more. I sure hope you can make it back in sooner rather than later.

Take care

Congrats on the addition, I wish you and your new family the best of times!

I never played with electricity, but I have always been fascinated by it. It messes with my head to think how all of this is possible, especially when you think about what electricity inside of a computer is doing.

My grandfather used to tell me : "It isn't a successful day unless you've learned at least one thing." I took that to heart, and try to find one thing each day that is new to me. Even if it is just a movement, or an emotion. Find something each day that is new to your being. Learning is what makes us human, plus a lot of other shit but you get the point.

Plasma sounds fun, albeit complicated. Ever seen those YouTube videos on microwaved fire? Really cool stuff.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I do plan on attending formal education again in the future. For now I am focused on teaching myself as much as I can outside of the normal boundaries.
