Yes, since I used to work for disability services in the college he worked and studied at and have also done work with a local organization catering to him and people with similar conditions. He is well-known to have a legit condition even if you haven't seen the medical records. He makes no secret of it. I've known him for 15 years and am very familiar with his conditions (he has multiple conditions).
