Why are you here?
I'm here because places like this give me a fun social aspect to my life that I don't normally get elsewhere.
What I mean is that most places on the internet are sterile. The webpage is just a cold wall of text, with some buttons to click and maybe a few interesting things to look at.
But when I come here, every piece of text on the page corresponds to a real person. I can click on a button, and interact with somebody who will respond. I like it. It touches on my dopamine receptors in that positive-feedback loop we are all striving to find.
What about you?
All the reasons you stated and habit.
It's become a habit to browse and contribute to forums. On Voat the habit became unhealthy because the content slowly became more negative. Here it's still pretty neutral and easy going. There are also a lot fewer post and users which makes my online time less. This translates into more time off the internet. Moving to phuks as been an all around positive experience.
