I can't stand it when someone starts talking about "day of the rope". It's extremely disturbing. Acting like civil war is going to break out any day now and they're gonna get to go out for a fun lynching with their pals.
Exactly, Voat hosts several subs that deal with material that much of the government would rather not have out in the open. Of course Voat is watched and the narrative directed to steer away free thinkers from the site or submit them to narratives that increase stupidity. There's also the fact that Reddit's increasing censorship in turns drives the less desirable into Voat as refuge, dumbing down the user base there naturally. And of course there's the alt-right ignoring the fact that they are just as bad as the far left, scorning anyone who refuses to believe what they do. Making something like Phuks was inevitable.

Those kind of replies are so extreme that I have to think they are sponsored trolls working to sow discontent and undermine any chance at actual solutions. You see the exact same thing at the far left end of the spectrum too.
People might think this is a tinfoil hat theory, but given how much we know about intelligence agencies and marketing firms using social media to manipulate the masses, it would be foolish not to think things like this are happening.
