Yeah, I thought the same thing and almost didn't post it for a similar reason. I thought it was pushing the new European narrative of the left ... 'we are all immigrants'. It's sad when they can't just do the science, they have to interpret it with some ulterior motive in mind. Then they wonder why so many question so called 'science' anymore.
