Which football team is he rooting for?

lil lazy phukker hasn't paid any attention to the game at all. I've tried to explain offside to him and all he does is drool and sleep...so frustrating...wait..... is this parenting???

Did you know the gender prior to the delivery? for all three of my children, I couldn't wait. Personal reasons, but some people have religious or specific reasons not to find out.

We knew in advance that it would be a boy, m gf is way to curious to wait. We're still waiting how it will sexually identify though (joke)

Humbling, empowering, and scary as fuck.
That's how I felt, is it is as thrilling for you? Congrats.

I feel like i've "been lived" for the last 36 hours and it's all just slowly starting to sink in. You sum it up well and then some, so yeah a lot of emotions. I actually cried when i introduced him to the cats yesterday. He's also my parents first grandchild and it is really awesome to see that connection take form.

Good to hear you're not forgetting about the cats.
Sometimes pets will become jealous of new babies because they are attention thieves.

New Grandmas are great. Full of all the wisdom you might lack, and usually eager to babysit. Put them to work often.
I abused the free child-care from my mother, and she thanked me for it. :)

My kid gets to live one of my childhood dreams of growing up with cats, the thought of them becoming best friends fills me with warmth. I try to keep giving them a lot of attention and keep exposing/including them to the baby/babythings. They are surprisingly relaxed and come check him out every hour or so. Very gently coming near and sniffing/looking then backing off again. Its endearing to see.

Earlier we where changing my son in the babyroom when he started crying. My boycat came running into the room, rubbed up to my leg and meowed at me in a worried tone, while looking me in the eyes. {he only does/did this when i pickup his mom to clean shit out of her tail.) I picked him up so he could see and while in my arms he started purring and rubbing his head on my arm while looking at the lil man. Teared me right the fuck up.

Have you debated the use of goal line technology with him yet?

[–] Boukert [OP] 1 points (+1|-0)

I have and i got the same reply you gave me when we debated it. He started to drool and then he just shat his pants!

April 6? If so, beware, I was an Apr 6 and wouldn't wish myself on any new parent - LOL.

But seriously, big congrats to both you and your wife. The father of two daughters, I can tell ya, you have an amazing journey ahead of you. Believe it or not, it really is what they say ... they go by in what seems an instant. Enjoy ever minute of it, they're memories (both good and bad) you'll never forget! May the good times far outweigh all else!

[–] Boukert [OP] 1 points (+1|-0)

Well i'm mostly proud of my gf for pulling this whole kerfuffle off! for the rest it's mainly adapting and going with the flow untill things start to sink in!

I'm happy for you bro! and watch her mental health, I hope it doesn't happen but most women get weird at one point or another... it's normal and they need a LOT of support after birth

[–] [Deleted] 3 points (+3|-0) Edited

hes not kidding on the 'support after birth'

she just gave birth to another human. either naturally or c-section, she will need her rest. Lots of it. I feel I was released too early when having both of my daughters, however that does without saying, I strongly encourage you to TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FAMILY. As rude as that sounds, let them watch the baby. Let them bring over food and whatever they offer. Unless they try to take your kid and you're not okay, then definitely put your foot down.

My first daughter is considered a 'rainbow' child. So naturally, I had to put in extra effort to grow attached to her. My spouse worked 12hour shifts so I was alone most of the time. there was a time I was awake for over 36hours (i counted) and I still dont know how I did it. Im glad I had my sisters and my mum there to help me so I could bathe, sleep, and eat. After having my second daughter (and hopefully last child for a while), I found it was alot easier for me to grow attached and get used to the cycle. You'd be surprised how easy it is to forget to take care of yourself and how much you missed spending time with your spouse/partner.

We're here for you, just send me a quick DM if you need anything! Congrats again on your little boy! Cant wait to see photos (if any) of the little one :)

How'd the game turn out?

Also congrats on having a kid.

[–] Boukert [OP] 1 points (+1|-0)

cheers!

man city 2 - man utd 3 . was a good game as city was 2-0 ahead at halftime and if they won they would've been champs of the league. Pogba scored twice in 2 minutes to knock down that illusion in the second half though!
