Nope. You'll want to work the water knob slowly until you have an appropriate amount of pressure, you don't want to start at high pressure. That stream aims right at the hole. Your cheeks catch the spray, everything just kind of drops out courtesy of gravity. You may have to move your butt around a little to make sure you got it all. When you wipe, you're just drying it. I haven't had anything but water on the paper since I figured out how to more efficiently use it. Also, two other things about this model. The piece that sprays the water is behind a shield. So far, I haven't gotten anything on that shield. The nozzle is spring-loaded and only pops down below that shield when you turn on the water. There's also a knob to turn to clean the nozzle assembly; turn that, then turn on the water and it sprays water over the nozzle.
