Just noticed another post where you say you can do 6 max with proper form...

That makes 100 a day completely retarded. You'll probably never sustain it and just end up injured.

I'm doing 5 sets at about 80% of my max with good form, and doing three different types of pushup.

I recommend you do the same: 5 sets of 5 pushups each day for a week. Next week try 5 sets of 6 each day... continue like that until you make your 100 a day without giving yourself injuries.

100 a day is a cake walk for someone who's reasonably fit. You need 20 sets at 80% of your max to make 100. If someone can do 40 good pushups, they need about 3 sets at 80% of their max to make 100 (similar to doing 15 pushups for you). If they do 20 sets at 80% of their max (like you seem to be doing) they'd reach 620 pushups per day.

On average it is 10 now. Six was mostly cause of a pre existing right shoulder injury. Now it's 10 sets of 10 with good form. I just woke up and am muzzy headed so ill think about what you said.

10 sets isn't as crazy, but you're still attempting to do that every day, not giving your muscles proper rest. I think you have an increased risk of injury this way, and doubt you're improving any faster than you would on 5 sets a day.

The actual number of pushups is not as important as making it a sustainable daily habit. Do 4 good sets every day for a year, and I'm sure you'll exceed the 100 mark.
