It's dinnertime! Be our guest and grab a seat as we engage in frivolous, silly, unimportant, trivial, and meaningless philosophical discussions about things that don't matter.
Civil and polite discourse is expected(as if you were at an actual dinner table).
You do not talk about The Dinner Table.
You do not talk about The Dinner Table.
If this is your first time at The Dinner Table, please host a dinner conversation.
Dinner conversations are never over.
Only two guests to a food fight.
One food fight at a time, fellas.
No shirt, no shoes, no service.
Dining will go on as long as it has to.
I think the core problem is that we become divided; we have needs that are not being met, and the part of ourselves that wants to meet those needs comes into conflict with the part of ourselves that knows better. Sometimes one side wins, sometimes the other side wins.
The result is that we periodically meet our needs in a half-assed way that later brings regret.
The solution is not to fight yourself, but to get straightened out so that all your internal parts are on the same page and are all working together again. This is easier said then done.
