I learned a lot about geopolitical population manipulation from "The Cabin in the Woods"

People believe what they are told. That is how we got ourselves in the mess we are currently in.

History teacher shows some slides and appoints homework out of a textbook. That textbook was part of a private company with investors who have their own interests.

History is written by the victors, to be short. But to stay on topic with your post, yea a lot of people will eat the titles they are given. Independent research is damned. GO TO HELL if you do your own research outside of customary norms.
