So im a voat user checking this site out. So far i dig it. I notice there is no hunting sub here. The hunting sub on voat is a low traffic dead zone, probably wouldnt be any better here, but maybe its worth a shot if sonebody felt inclined to make one. Being a new user i cant create a sub, but i would do what i can to provide content, see if it catches on. Or fuck me, whatever.
You'll get there if you stick around. It doesn't take long to get a high enough score to open a sub. I don't know how active it would be, though. It's worth a shot regardless. I'd at least be commenting, though I don't have any interest in posting content for such a thing.

once you get 40 points, you can create your own sub. We do that so we dont get a bunch of new accounts that then create a sub, then not use it. You get points from votes on comments and posts. at 160 the captchas go away;)

I just try not to comment if i dont have anything worth saying. I could throw a bunch of stupid low quality content out there and get my 40 pts, but tgats just not my thing. May take me a while, which is why i figured id throw the bait out there, see if i could light a fire under somebodys ass and get a hunting sub going here. After all, hunting is life.

Well hang out and browse around. This is just something we have to do to make sure that people are managing the subs and not bots or empty accounts. Maybe add some hunting related posts to /s/camping or /s/guns.

Not a big deal. This time of year i dont have a ton of good content to post to a hunting sub anyway. Just something that i noticed this site didnt have. Maybe this fall ill create a hunting sub if nobody else has by then.
That's one I considered making, but I don't know how much time I'm willing to spend on subs. I created /s/niggers a long time ago when I first got hear, partly to test the waters and partly to keep some reddit type faggot from getting it if it sticks.
I just recently made /s/woodworking and was considering /s/bushcraft.
Besides my own doubts about it, I'm not sure about creating subs all willy nilly. Phuks already has /s/survival, so I don't know that another related, I mean bushcraft not hunting, is needed or desirable with the low traffic.
Shouldn't take you very long to be able to create a sub. I don't recall or if it has changed since I got here, but I'm sure the bar is reasonably low.
I don't hunt, but I love my ridiculously overpowered 185lb crossbow. It's a pain in the ass to actually use in California because archery ranges consider it a firearm so I have to use it at either a friend's house with limited range or drive 40 minutes to the middle of the desert.

I'm planning on moving out of here probably end of 2019. I fucking hate California, but I'm waiting on stock to vest with my company and living with my brother who loves it here. I spent most of my life in Ohio and Iowa and seriously miss that, maybe I'll try Montana or Idaho next.
Montana has a lot more california people fagging it up than idaho does. I would go idaho over montana. The panhandle especially would be my choice. But if ya cant take long cold winters, the southern part of the state would probably suit you better.
