He makes an excellent point. And coming from his background I at least value his opinion more than most. There are some great inspirational (for lack of a better word) rappers out there. But they don't get near the notoriety and are a minority or niche at this point.

But without a cultural shift happens in which not being a scumbag is more glamorous. Then things will compound and worsen. I know so many people that say they hate rap and hip hop because it's just money, drugs and bitches. But it doesn't have to be and IMO is so much better and more creative.

I love this. If you want these fools to stop shooting and drugging then you gotta quit telling them to do it, you gotta quit showing them that it's all right, that it's cool. We need the next Will Smith to come out talking about relatable things, things that don't get young people arrested and in serious trouble.
