It seems lately that everyone wants to say that January 6th was the first real insurrection in modern history in the US.

The fact of the matter is that it was not.

The first was four years prior.

News article

Title: Vandalism, fires, & dozens of arrests in DC inauguration protests

To summarize, terrorist democrats lit Washington DC on fire, targeting businesses and civilians who had absolutely nothing to do with politicians or the government, looting, committing arson and violence.

From both the FBI and Cornell when citing 28 CFR § 0.85:

Terrorism includes the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

Literal terrorism. It's time to stop pretending that Democrats weren't the first to commit acts of sedition and treason and attack civilians to remove a legally elected and sworn in President.

It's time to make this plain and clear and hold the terrorists responsible in society (not just the legal system) and shame and demonize anyone who defends it by dismissing, downplaying, or denying this event.
