We cannot trust that the next moderator picked won't be biased and simply been more careful with their social media. We shouldn't even have to worry about that.

Americans are tired of the current format, but the media likes it because it generates a lot of short sound bites with insufficient context around them to be the candidates most complete opinion. They like that because it gives them content.

But most Americans hate this format. Most politicians hate this format. A better idea is two men on a stage, with mics, and no rules. That's not even a novel idea. That's how presidential debates used to work before the media took over the political process instead of just covering it.

We need the candidates to be able to explain their vision for the US in more than two minute clips.

No moderator. That's the solution.
