I don't think the debt problem is even solvable the only thing a president can do is put a Fed Chair like Janet Yallen back in and get a lower interest rate on the debt. lol
I really don't see the Green New Deal winning them any votes. They are just offering more to their base and not pulling any from Trump (threatening to make their oil/coal etc jobs illegal.)

I said this to my wife last night. She said she doubts Schultz cares that much about the country itself, but he might do that to keep the Dems from handing Trump a second term.
He's talked about the debt as a problem and acknowledged the Dem's plans of medicaid and free school for all as unrealistic.
I don't see myself voting for him, but he is better than anything the democrats are currently running out there, just off those statements. Although we have seen time and time again, where politicians claim to be fiscal conservatives and it never translates into actual fiscal responsibility.
