For the past two decades I've received political fundraising emails stating they will double my donation to a party or candidate. Nowhere does it state where the other donation funding originates.

Now one party claims to triple my donation, without any explanation.

Where does this money come from and is it being reported in accordance with election laws?

If that's an example of bundling it's incorrectly stated or obviously illegal.

Regardless, my question is wholly separate. When I give $2,700 or $33,800, how can that amount be increased by a political entity?

Let's say you give $2700 to the DNC for candidate A. The DNC gives candidate A $5400. Thus doubling your contribution.
