What do you mean 'vs'? The morality of one is independent of the other.
They can both be disgusting.
The shooting itself had nothing to do with fake news, gun control, Pres Trump, MadMax Waters, media bias and agendas, or political anything. It was simply a mentally deranged idiot who didn't like people exposing he was just that. Pure and simple. Now everyone will use it for just those purposes. These two media outlets are just making the situation worse by trying to profit from the event. No wonder everyone is so tired of of the media and politicians spinning every damn occurrence into more than what it is. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

The comment Trump made had nothing to do with the shooting and is a broader statement of how the press is more concerned with pushing an agenda than reporting news.
I think they believe they are reporting true and accurate news not fake news, based on facts, not based on politics or the say so of some politician.
I think they believe they have always done this.

Their statement was in reference to the MSM as a whole being an enemy of the American people. Which it is.
It's not about their reporting, it's about the current state of mainstream media as a whole. Assuming these guys only report accurate, true, fair news, they STILL should be paying enough attention to know what the current state of affairs is. So it's completely out of line for them to make a statement like that. If they choose to lump themselves in with the sordid state of American fake news media, they deserve to be denigrated for it.
