In an interview with Hill.TV’s “Rising,” Ojeda said it’s not that he always agrees with Trump, who remains very popular in West Virginia.

“If you have a great idea, I'll support your great idea. But if you don't have a great idea, I won’t,” he said.

“Just because I support somebody doesn’t necessarily mean I'll agree with them always. If they do not do something that’s correct, I have the right to make comment.”

This is also known as "having a mind of your own" and should be encouraged. It's sad to me that he even has to preface the conversation with this, but it's completely necessary here.

“I believe in what the Democratic Party was supposed to be. It was supposed to be about taking care of the working class citizens, taking care of our sick, taking care of our elderly, our veterans — if we are going to send you away and break you, we are going to fix you when you get home. And creating opportunities for those who live in poverty,” he said.

Man, the political field is so fucked up that this seems to fit more into the Republican platform than the Democrat platform. I'm glad to see that this guy is sticking with his party rather than jumping ship, the Democrats really need to get their collective shit together. They should be mopping the floor with that platform, not ceding to the Republicans.

What does the Democrat platform stand for nowadays, anyway?

It stands for debating who uses which restroom, making sure everyone can loiter in Starbucks, and funneling taxpayer dollars to non citizens. You're absolutely right that any party that stops selling out the country to corporate interests would absolutely destroy the opponents in elections, so the reason it doesn't happen must be because both parties sold out.

It's good to see someone from the Democratic side with mindset. I need to look more into this guy to see what exactly makes him a Democrat as apposed to a Republican.

The Democrat platform is horrible right now. It's basically anti-Trump, what else do they talk about?
