I don't know about that. I'm not a big fan of twatter, but I don't hate it, speaking strictly on the concept. Of course being run the way it is makes it garbage. Still, it is wildly popular even among those who would prefer it not be lopsided.

Fair enough. I've just never been a fan of the character limits. The fact that twitter somehow became the primary forum for political discussion while being that restrictive just blows my mind.

I actually kind of like that limit, though it was too much so good they increased it. There is no shortage of long winded garbage on the internet.

I agree in the case of casual discussion, advertising, and jokes, but politics usually can't be summed up in 140 or 280 characters (or whatever it is now). So people just enough up calling each other names because insults fill less space. But hey, that's just me. I've got other places to talk politics if I want to.

I bet twitter would appeal to me more if I used a mobile device for social media. Big paragraphs get tedious in on those little screens.
