Call him what you will, I don't think it affects the accuracy or truth value of his statements or the worthiness of his political opinions.
I think you are missing the point.
I am not saying he is wrong. I agree with him.
I am saying he will never convince anyone to change their mind. He will only push the opposition further away. That is how things get worse, not better.
But he knows that. He is offering entertainment value to people like you, who already agree. If you had submitted this to an entertainment sub, I would have said nothing. But you submitted this in Politics.
You can't really think that this video represents a genuine attempt at discussion, can you?
That's because you agree with him.
He is still nothing more than a paid actor. He has a spotlight, because he's a dancing monkey. Not because of his intelligence, political theories, or his knowledge on health care.
Who produced this? That's the group/person who's message is getting across. Russell is the face.
This is the worst possible way to try and have a conversation about a controversial issue.
Russell is an entertainer, and a drama whore. Not a worthy source of political thought.
I more or less agree with his views, but he delivers it in a way designed to insult alienate anyone that does not already agree. He misrepresents the opposing view and cherry picks the arguments. It's dishonest and condescending.
This video is a great way to divide people, but a poor way of reaching anyone or opening a dialogue.
It is more circle-jerk than political commentary.
