Which is why the hearing should not be the only thing US "news" should be obsessing about. It's a pony show bringing in FBI, NSA and other intelligence officers to public hearings. You get some quips here and there, but nothing of real substance can actually be discussed in pubic. It's like the TMZ of politics.

It only feeds the frenzy of the media and does nothing else. It's literally useless.

i dont agree with you. Without the US "full craze going media goggles" on this is a disturbing case alltogether. Remember this is a multiple issue case:

  • "onorthodox methods"/ possible powerabuse of dealing with "the law"/subordinates/FBI within his role as Potus.

  • The accusations and reasons from Trump to fire the FBI director. And as Comey says alleged lies from Trump about his or the FBI's functioning.

  • possible Russian intervention in elections and to what extent.

  • Any possible ties or conflict of interest that potus or ministers might have with Russia

There has been a lot of bullshit items from the US media in the last few months, i agree on that. (But it's not like Trump, his tweets , ego , friends and actions are not begging for it tbh! Like we say in Holland "Tall trees catch the most wind") but you have to agree that atleast 3/4 of these are real and worrying issues that need attention.

As an example: remember that shitstorm about the Burthcurtificate and Bill Clinton's impeachment procedures about a blowjob? Both sound pretty trivial with all this current bullshit going on.....

You can't pull the "poor poor president bashing" card here, the Rep's invented that game. Neither can you say this btw........

edit:

In any way Trump pressuring the head of the FBI, an "independent" branch of governement, Is fucking borderline dictatorlike behavior. I call this real fucking global news.

eh, trump was/is too stupid to understand how the division & balance of power works. he may have legitimate or even serious conflicts of interest but i think he may be too stupid to take advantage of them. besides, he chose the right vice president, pence is a psycho and i'd rather the idiot. i think we just have to pay attention and remember who is doing the manipulating the next time around and vote for someone better #KANYE2020
