The minutes step at 5 minutes (yeah, you can type it) but if you're targeting noon or midnight, the AM/PM will flip annoyingly as you go back and forth on the minutes while watching the hour increment/decrement so you end up setting the minutes and then flipping back to the hours but if you go prior to the current time on the same day, it resets the minutes to and so you repeat that nonsense until you throw the laptop.
So in my case, it was at 5:53 PM and I was targeting midnight.
