Remember back in April when everyone thought there was going to be a war? Look where we are now, no war later.
North Korea are actually quite a strategic country. They don't want to go to war, they know that it'd be stupid and destructive for them. They simply use the nuclear threat as a negotiating tactic and a deterrent from being Iraq 2.0.
When you understand this, it keeps you calm while everyone else shits the bed.
What does Kim Jong-un have to personally gain out of nuking America and going to war? Absolutely nothing. However, if he can keep his regime in place and his luxuries then he has nothing to gain from going to war.
