No cause evictions should not be a thing. That would be a breach of the lease anyways. If the landlord wants more flexibility find someone that is willing to sign a month to month lease. At least that is an option in the States.
I don't see an issue with rental bidding. You can allow people to bid on home ownership, why not rentals?
