Nope, we only take care of them until they become a butterfly and then we let nature take its course.

Stupid question, but do you think monarchs develop a bond with you if you harbor their growth? I've heard some beekeepers experience that where bees react when a different keeper comes out

I honestly doubt it when it comes to the monarch. Last years monarch was first caught when it was an egg, and we raised it through its entire life cycle. That little bitch wanted nothing to do with us and flew off the moment I opened the jar.

The only reason this one stayed on my hand was I managed to find it while its wings were still drying out, and it climbed off the lid as I took it outside.
