I'm like a Socialist basil drug dealer to friends and strangers, "It's free, really, just try it."

You can break off a whole branch and throw in in with your pasta sauce when you're cooking it down too. Remove at the end of cooking and all you are left with is flavour.

Branch, too? I use bland cans/bottles of salty red sauce so any extra healthy flavoring would help.
