I bought a sexy car the other day for $750 NZD. It's a Mazda 232 '97 with 175,000km on it. It's the first car I've ever owned, but it's not one I want to have for long.
It gets good fuel mileage. I've worked it out to be about 12-13l/100km or 18 MPG.
It needs some work done on it I confess. Two new tyres but I'll try get away with doing one. It costs $110/tyre from the one place we visited but I'm going to shop around. It needs about $200 in work getting the front-right CV joint replaced. This is basically going to work out to be $1,100ish with costs factored in.
I got a quick valuation from insurance and going off what I've seen for cars with similar specs they go for $2.5kish.
When I do the work, I'll probably start at $2,500 and settle at $2,000 at the minimum. I'd love to get it sold in a month which will work out to about $250 profit a week.
I'll keep this shit updated
Benned.
