Reddit accused me of being a Chinese secret agent and banned me today. Just so, because I asked a question. That place has gone completely mad with political extremism. As I find little entertainment value in idiocy, I'm now looking for alternatives, places where normal discussions with normal people are still possible. The first recommendation I got was 4chan, but they turned out to be just as insane as Reddit. This place here looks nice, albeit a little dead. Are there any subs you can personally recommend?

It's not really active enough here to rely on following a select group of subs. See in the black bar in the top left corner, "ALL" represents /all/hot and "NEW" is /all/new, similar to reddit. You can subscribe to subs, but you're best to get acquainted with those links to see everything.

Politics don't get discussed a lot here, a little but generally this is more or less a place a lot of us go to to avoid it. Voat, Reddit, Raddle, 4chan, and more of them focus almost entirely on politics and it's exhausting. Our politics is Cabbage vs Broccoli, there's no wrong answer but the right one is Cabbage.
