Hi, I'm looking for reddit alternatives, something with more sense of community. I live in the Bay area and run some blogs and a podcast. I'm also big into video games and old movies. Anyways, I hope I will find what I am looking for here!

Hey there and welcome. I'm actually traveling down to the bay area for the first time this weekend.

So, PC or Console for your gaming?

Welcome! A few of us are also in California. What sort of games do you like to play? What sort of older movies? I recently rewatched almost all of the Laurel and Hardy movies and shorts

I'm pretty big into Heroes and Generals, and FPS with an RTS element to it. I'm also big into Old School Runescape. And I have been working on IMBD's top 100 movies list. Once upon a time in the west is one of my favorites though.

Hmm, never saw that actually. I'll add it to my list

Well, nobody asked it yet, so I guess I'll go ahead...

Cabbage or broccoli?

(If you're looking for sense of community here, you're not going to get closer to that than this question. And also anything in /s/soapdoxbanhammer)

Oh well, Broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables. But I also am a big fan of sauerkraut. I guess I have to go with Broccoli though.

Welcome!

What kind of old movies do you like? Any recommendations?

Have you seen "Only Angels Have Wings"?

Sounds interesting, Howard Hawks is a solid director, I like "The Prizefighter and the Lady" a lot.

It's interesting if you're interested, not for everyone. It comes off a little unintentionally funny these days.

I haven't seen The Prizefighter, but I enjoy seeing Myrna Loy and Walter Huston.

We're a small group. Be sure to sub /s/BrusselSprouts. Could always use more sprouts lovers. (And stay away from broccoli and cabbage - they're savages).

LOL.you live in the bay area. Hey, btw, someone is cyberstalking me to the point that on another site they are posting under my name things I would never say. What should I do?

[–] TheFrugLife [OP] 0 points (+0|-0) 6 years ago

Have a more unique name?

[–] yeti 0 points (+0|-0) 6 years ago

I've been using this same name since the mid-90s, except when some other people stole it before I could register. Glad if it's out of style so I don't have so many hassles.
