They are very much cabbages. In Brassica Orelecea anatomy, Cabbages are terminal leaf buds, and Brussels Sprouts are lateral leaf buds. They might come from slightly different parts and taste slightly different, but that doesn't mean they aren't damn leaf buds all the same!
