He's referencing the Smash Brothers games. The ultimate "fair" stage is Final Destination, and having randomly spawning items is anathema to those who play competitively in those games (I did for a while).

The weapon is use is the Singing and Dancing Sword, because when I fence, I do so in style. :p

Thanks. I had no idea that it was a Smash Brothers reference, but I do believe that card is from munchkin.

My Cranium Basher Thunder Maul is from Diablo II. Pretty sweet maul.

Yeah, I have the Pathfinder Deluxe Munchkin set, as well as Munchkin Bites, although I don't sit and play with friends as often as I should with it.

As for Smash, I used to play Smash competitively in the Melee and Brawl days, and actually won a local tournament in Brawl after coming in second in the last Melee tournament only a few weeks before. Beat Donald to win the Brawl tourney, which was sweet because he was the one who beat me in the Melee tournament before.

We played with Major League Gaming (MLG) rules, which was no items, 4 stock (lives), 8 minute time limit, only certain stages were available, you can ban certain stages off the list, and a few other minor things (like order you pick characters in).
