So it turns out my handle was already taken. Middle_Pillar now.

After much deliberation (and a couple beers) I have decided to join this place. People seem nice and it seems more like Voat when I first joined.

Welcome, middle_path! I remember you from voat, we've had a good conversation before. I've always respected you for being a glimmering voice of reason amongst the rabble over there.

There are quite a few goats who have had their usernames taken here. I guess somebody just went on a spree when Voat went down and registered all the popular names. Anyways, please do start JustGrowIt, otherwise I might have to and I'm already knee deep in broccoli memes at this point to have any extra time.

Nice! Also, I liked the idea behind JustGrowIt but never had the ambition to follow through. I ended up more or less abandoning voat shortly after you created it.

G’day mate, nice to see ya. This place is pleasantly a bit more civil but still has that old voat vibe. I deleted my voat account now. Something smells off over there and it’s gone from harsh truths to mostly shit stirring and hoax posts. Also no reply from Atko or Putt which seems out of character. Sad to see. Hope old Atko swings by here to say G’day. Still have an open offer for a beer or a whiskey if he ever swings by Brisbane Australia. To be honest I’d probably happily catch up for a beer or two with most of you phukers.

I suspect that it had something to do with me making a comment about leaving and disliking the way Puttitout handled the recent blackout. But this is just speculation. I never really participated in the political discussions, and I steered clear of almost all of the drama, except some sanegoat stuff. I harassed the shit out of sane.

But who knows, this could just be a bug that affects random users.

It's cool here, they actually have a several active admins always on top of everything. Checkout chat window, Pembo, Polsaker, are a couple there are a few more. Everyone is welcome and If you have any problems, they jump right on it and either fix or give you a straight answer. Most, if not all are goats who got tired of Voat drama and rolled their own. I was posting to both Voat and here for awhile now, but after the 'days of darkness' over there, I just lurk and have moved on.

You'll like it here ... great folks for the most part and many ex-Voaters. Don't trust all the usernames, a few, like NeedleStack have been stolen ... she's the RealNeedleStack here. There may be others, too, so just a heads up. Read the TOS in the sidebar links ...
