Hello everyone,

I lurked reddit for 2 or 3 years; the main think I learned were the great similarities of emotions of people. Everyone has their insecurities, goals, fear, etc. I got uncomfortable when I learned about the management of reddit, so I lurked voat for a year and voated for another; I learned much about non-mainstream news, conspiracies, and the right. Most everyone wants what they understand as best, but perceptions differ greatly. It is also far harder to perceive accurately than most imagine. In the 1940s, most of the world was killing each other over political differences. The democrats, fascists, communists, and imperialists all had very different views. After the democrats & communists won WWII, they almost destroyed the world fighting each other. Sanity is not so high on this planet.

As far as myself, I am into statistical signal processing, C++, NVIDIA/CUDA, cryptocurrency mining, shamanism (curious about Asatru), & misc hobbies like auto mechanics, off roading, hiking/camping and boating. Slightly interested in guns. Live in the San Francisco bay area.

Hi to the few voaters I recognize.

Having come over during the voat downtime, I will plan to stay around, but will certainly jump back and forth between here and voat.

Thanks for being here!

On a serious note.....you like guns I am going to be milling an AR 15 lower soon and showing the process for all that want to see via YouTube live stream......if it doesn't cut me off.

Being that you are in California you can do it as well, but there are some differences between yours and mine the state will impose on you.

Thanks. I prolly won't be making any for a while, but I am a curious. BTW, one thing I just heard today is that it is pretty easy to sand cast aluminum, melting point is about 1200F. I was thinking of getting a long gun near the end of last year. The CA restrictions are a pain, and, sadly, many retailers were scared shitless to carry anything remotely resembling a tactical rifle. However, the law itself is not that onerous. I found a dealer who carried guns that were modified, after manufacture, to be CA legal. I'm sure it adds a meaningful premium, but it can be done.

Last time I was in AZ, I went to a gun range. Confessed my state of residence, and got sprinkled with Holy Water.
