We're still in the alpha phase and working through some stuff. We're self funded and dont use ads or trackers. As you post and get points, you get xp and level up. Once you level up a few levels the captcha goes away and you'll be able to make subs.

Is there a place where rules regarding xp and leveling up are explained? What are the restrictions on people of low levels, and what extra abilities do people of high levels have?
I've been very critical of CCP restrictions on voat as I think they suppress freedom of speech, among other things.

getting xp can be done by getting votes or getting user badges awarded. Your level is equal to squareroot of (xp/10). So 100xp is like level 3. At level 2, you can create subs and level 4 the captcha goes away. we currently dont have restrictions on how much you can interact based on your xp.
Thanks. I'll resist asking additional pedantic questions. I see the community is still small and the rules will probably evolve over time.
I hope if they do change, you will try to keep a fairly even playing field. On voat I don't think the contributions of the most popular members are necessarily what's best for the community as a whole.

ParadoxPlaza is the sub for all things from the game developer Paradox Interactive.
Their biggest titles right now are Stellaris, a sci-fi grand strategy game set in the future, Europa Universalis 4, a historical grand strategy game set between the Renaissance and early industrial era, and Crusader Kings 2, the one I was referencing, where you control a medieval dynasty, RPG-style, from Charlemagne to the Renaissance.
They also make others games that others will know better than me.
Currently CK2 is my favorite of the bunch; the potential for story-telling after the fact is unrivaled among their other titles.
