There are not enough conversations going on in comment sections. If there was a link that showed the latest comments, perhaps that would facilitate more conversations.

For one, how about notifying (optionally?) the previous posers in the thread, that it has a new comment.
I usually only browse /all/new, so I might miss a part of the discussion
