I agree. Apart from spam measures it is important to prevent fragmentization of the forum and userbase. If there are many subfoxes concerning the same topic and competing for the same content, each forum will get smaller, will not get to the frontpage and will not gain traction to become interesting. I think a lot of Voat's downfall was related to that.
