My takedown, I'm a good enough shot with it to get small game.

My dad has the 10/22, I actually like my Marlin 60 better but that's not a take down.

Great pistol.

Looking at the article, I can't believe how high the price of an AR-7 went under Henry. Geez, it ain't worth that. I should've bought one back in the day, I suppose.

I wouldn't pay that price either.

I honestly do not know why I would ever need a take down. If it's a survival situation where I'm on foot, I'm taking a pistol. If I have a vehicle then there is no reason to worry about weight or space.

I liked the AR-7 concept. A decent small .22 rifle broke down into pieces that fit into a waterproof stock. It was ideal for backpacking, canoeing, camping, that kind of thing. A pistol is great, but a rifle is far more useful in getting game, so the compact size and waterproof design was an innovation if you intend to hunt a rabbit or squirrel for supper along the way.

What is the benefit of a takedown rifle over an AR-15?

E: (I'm kidding, hopefully obviously)
