Headed to the local dealer in the morning to look into compact 9MMs. I've already fired a lot of rounds through the S&W M&P Shield but a buddy of mine recommended the new model XD-S from Springfield.

It's thin but actually over 6" long. Not good for pocket carry.

Oh, yeah. Definitely too long for sticking in a pocket.
