Headed to the local dealer in the morning to look into compact 9MMs. I've already fired a lot of rounds through the S&W M&P Shield but a buddy of mine recommended the new model XD-S from Springfield.
Any of you Phukers have experience with it?

I'm in the same boat. I've been looking at the Springfield but it's actually too big to be a good concealed carry for me. If that's not what you're getting it for then you can't go wrong with the Springfield. If you're looking for a c.c. pistol I recommend the Ruger LCP at .380.
I'm trying to stick with one caliber so I only have to worry about stocking one size. After this purchase I'll start looking into 9mm carbines. The friend who recommended the XD-S did so because it's his carry gun. Single stack and 7-round magazine makes it doable.
If you try it report back. I'm very pleased with my M&P Shield, but it never hurts to have options.
