I like .410s, when I was a young man I was an avid pheasant hunter and got really good at taking them ... so much so that it wasn't as much fun anymore using 20s, 16s, and 12 gauges. I got a good deal on a cheap .410 pump at a gun show, nothing special, just a Noble, a lowly brand, but it made pheasant hunting a ball again. Ya had to get 'em fast or they were outta range. A good time was had by all.

I like .30-30 lever guns, too ... but my Dad's Marlin 336 put a bad taste in my mouth ages ago on a mountain top in PA. A great buck stopped right below me on a ridge trail ... I aimed and shot. Click ... ejected, aimed and fired again ... click ... I cycled the whole mag, nothing! Somewhere between sighting it in and the travel to the hunting spot, the firing pin had broken. Always liked .30-30s and wouldn't mind having one (funny I don't), but that incident didn't sit well with me.

Sorry if I bored you with these stories before ... I'm old and sometimes forget when I told someone a story before, so forgive me - LOL

I like em man, and no I've never heard that one before. They've made a number of similar rifles like that of Chuck Connors in the Rifleman or the lever action John Wayne used in Rooster Cogburn. I've always wanted to own one.

They look about fun as hell. I honestly don't get the same feeling of satisfaction firing more modern designs.

Those old Rifleman type Winchesters were really cool!

I remember considering the Rossi Ranchhand from a few years ago but it wasn't set up with that machine screw in the lever to depress the trigger when you finished cocking it. You could 360 spin cock them though pretty easily.
