Are you having it just for funsies, or actually going to clean it and shoot with it? I have several different types of swords I have bought, mostly for fun, but more than half of them are at least functional, in good enough shape and well enough made for drills and practice.
I plan on shooting with it and using it for home defence of the occasion ever arises. (I know, I know a pistol would be better than an unwieldy 4 foot rifle.)
Having never fired any gun that uses gunpowder, I would at least like some experience in case of civil unrest, or worse.
According to the guy I bought it from its functional. I haven't completely disassembled it. But I've removed the bolt and internal magazine, I don't see any build up or grime. However I plan on getting a cleaning kit for maintenance and stuff.
They're pretty common and about the cheapest rifle out there. Sure, it can't go toe to toe with a modern rifle. But they're sure classy!
I've always wanted a bolt action rifle.
With being a bit of a WW2 buff, the Mosin seemed like the perfect choice. It's doubtful, but a part of this rifle may have killed a Nazi.
And for only $100, how could I say no?
