I mean it looks good to my eye because I like the blocky style but if Persson had wanted the game to look similar to this this without raytracing it would have been done easily all those years ago. Show me ocarina of time with Ray tracing and I'll have something to relate to.

He was actually working on an HD sequel at one point with varying levels of block resolution, nice rendering, voxel physics, etc. and abandoned it because the detailed graphics didn't improve the game experience

Minecraft still exist? I'd love to try tho try those mods to try how loud my GPU will sound. Neighbors might complain, but I want to know anyway.
