I'm in a similar boat, I want to rebuild with the 2nd gen ryzen cpus and new graphics, but the cost vs power of the current gpus to my Fury Nitro just isnt enough to justify it. My Fury does just as well, if not better than the 5 series from AMD, and the 1070s cost too dann much

Good. I hope this means that a RX Vega 64 becomes reasonable. I have a 1070 now that runs really well, but my monitor is Freesync and my processor is a Ryzen so I hope to change to an AMD card. The high prices recently just haven't made that card a "must have."
