It is very much not the type of game I usually enjoy.
However, the gameplay was so interesting, it was great. The game is excellent at introducing new mechanic, let you play with it for an hour, and then discarding it before you can get bored. It was always something fresh, something interesting.
he campaign story was a bit cookie-cutter, but it serviced the gameplay. The voiceacting was good, alleviating the eye-roll.
I recommend it! Definitely worth the money.
Yeah, it did not catch my attention because I thought it will be the same like first Titanfall, or any of the BF/CoD titles.
The release timing was also bad, as it was right between (or before) COD and BF came out that year. If you release way earlier or some time after, sales might've been better.
I didn't play it, but did hear one bit of criticism about the campaign. Apparently there were walljumping/running bits that were impossible to complete the first time around because you needed to know the layout of the map ahead of you, and as a result it made a trial and error situation that screwed up some of the gameplay.
I saw some multiplayer streams though and it looks pretty fun.
It's too bad it wasn't as widely played as the first. It was finally a great game by a great dev team who wanted not unlimited revenue, but to make a great game and they succeeded. Unfortunately when they see COD and BF titles micro-transacting the dogshit out of everything successfully it doesn't bode well for future titles being just good games.
