God I hate that fucking site design.

I can see why this is a thing, and it doesn't really bother me. They're still putting the swastika in the campaign, which they definitely should be doing because it is completely retarded to omit it. I couldn't really give a shit about it being in online or not because online has no storyline or anything, it's not like you're going to notice it not being there when you're playing multiplayer.

I can also see why they have women in it too. They've been doing that since at least Ghosts, that's the earliest I can remember women being playable online. In multiplayer it is more about being able to customise your character than it being historically accurate (and trying to hold CoD to any kind of real world accuracy at this point is absurd).

Having said that, HOI4 pissed me off. They erased Hitler's face and swastikas from the game, which is something to be annoyed about because that is a game where historical accuracy absolutely matters - it is the entire basis of the game. I understand that there are laws in Germany and stuff that would make it difficult to sell games with the imagery in them, but it would be trivial to make a German HOI4 with that stuff removed. I know they could also do that with CoD, but again, it isn't really something that is going to make or break the game.

edit: also I would be playing as a black female Nazi if I was going to buy the game.

I won't be happy until I can customize my character enough to play as a Nazi soldier wearing a gold star, a pink triangle and carrying a Soviet flag

If that does happen, it'll be DLC.

Or it'll come in a version of the game called Call of Duty: WW2 Super Advanced Dark Extended Platinum Rainbow Pro Edition that you will have to pay an extra $30 for.
