I dont get the reasoning at all by rockstar. I bet a lot of people bought an extra copy of GTA just to be able to play modded on PC. I mean it's volunteers making your product more interesting for free.....

Soon AAA games will be open source and made like the software we all already use. There's several smaller games already, like Minetest is for Minecraft. Restricting single player modes will only drive away more and more people that actually know what they're doing.
